Garden Program

To build community and to support sustainable, healthy food systems, RFB volunteers have started growing a variety of fruits and vegetables in community garden plots. Not only is this a sustainable practice, but it also provides learning opportunities to those who want to grow their own food.

If you want to learn to garden or lend your gardening skills to the program, please contact frankie@rfbs.org.

No experience necessary. All are welcome.

Thank You

We would like to thank Food Banks Canada for their generous support through the 2019 +Fresh Gardens & Growing Fund. The grant enriched our program by allowing us to purchase local seeds, gardening tools and supplies, and to offer free gardening and food skills workshops to the community.

We are very grateful to Urban Bounty and Vancouver Coastal Health for lending us the garden plots this season, and to West Coast Seeds for donating vegetable and herb seeds to the garden project.
