Here is a message from Sheila Johnston, President of the Richmond Food Bank:
Dear Neighbours,
On behalf of the Richmond Food Bank, I want to thank our supporters for your donations to help our neighbours in need. Your gifts of money, food, services, and time enabled us to provide grocery service and related assistance more than the 1400 people who come for help in a typical week.
In 2015 we expanded our programs to meet increased need: two additional grocery distribution depots in new locations, food to more community partners, expanded delivery service, support to groups sponsoring refugees, and pilot projects with the school district to provide food for kids in school.
In 2016, we will continue to be alert to emerging needs and seek additional innovative ways to help low-income Richmond residents.
We are very grateful for your help, as it is crucial to providing essential assistance to our neighbours in need. Thank you for your continued, generous support.
Sincerely,
Sheila Johnston
President,
Richmond Food Bank
